Last time it was for 6 months.
This time it's for 1 year. Maybe more like a few years.
Good to chat with Carleene, Perevangelica, Matto, Pons, James, etc.
You can reach me at my blog, The Okie Traditionalist.
Ok. See ya in a few weeks, or maybe months. :)
Oh, a whole year? A few years? I wonder if the forum will last that long. I think the forum will miss you. I know we can correspond by email, and we can also read your blog so this is not a farewell.
aw darn.
Things have been chaotic 'round our here parts for the past few months - will settle down in a few more - so I've been limited in my time at SD, and :-[ I haven't visited you at O.T. in quite awhile. I like your blog, interesting flavor!
Well, here's a <platonic :P> heartfelt big ole hug 'til we chat again. :pray1: soon.
:grouphug:
I hope you have a good sabbatical, Chris. As I've said before, I like your freewheeling and "thinking out loud" style. It's a refreshing tonic to the doctrinaire, know-it-all, "REGNANS IN EXCELSIS!" approach, where each post is like a papal pronouncement. You're more like someone sitting on their front porch, shucking corn, and just "shootin' the sh!t," as they say. I appreciate your prairie state vibe.

Now that you reveal your real self, you leave!
Or was that you? Maybe it was holographic Chris. Never can tell.
:) See you around.
See you, Chris. I too appreciate front porch conversations with Chris. He's a good conversationalist. Blessings to you always.

You know me too well.
Self-ban lowered. For a spell anyway. :o
FWIW, my least fav blog post of yours in a while coincides with the timeframe of your return. I liked your cool, collected stuff much better.

Blog? ;)
I'm back, after New Years as promised. Looks like Greg and Jayne have kept their bargain. ;)

My last post on SD. "If I don't see you, good morning, good afternoon, and good night"
But you had just recently returned. Well, Chris, if you must go, you have done well in paraphrasing one of the best movies of the 90s for your parting quote. I watched it again just this past year (it's available for streaming on Netflix), with more than a dozen years since my last viewing. It still holds up on every level. When it first came out, the notion of having your life broadcast to the world was considered a dystopian nightmare—one from which Truman is trying to wake. Instead, when the technology arrived that allowed people to broadcast their lives to the world, they did so willingly. How quickly things change. Or, maybe it's just the autonomy that counts. Life is strange. Farewell.

How's it going to end?

"I am not altogether on anybody's side, because nobody is altogether on my side." ~Treebeard, LOTR
(couldn't resist the fitting irony, since it's a quote at the bottom of KK's posts. Okay back to REALITY guys. Have a nice life......)
