Speaking of explosions, I did something fun yesterday with the two youngest boys.  I attached a leaf blower to a metal pipe, and a 200 litre oil drum to make an incinerator, got the fire in there red hot, barrel was glowing and then threw in a 200ml can of Swan lighter gas (which are only £1.50 at the pound shop).  The explosion was epic and the fireball was a good 20feet high.  Ripped the oil drum apart.  Was old and rusty but still.

We hid behind trees.

It explodes within 3-4 seconds so you either need to throw it in or have a mechanism to drop it

In war news, not much has changed.

The new Russian operation in Kharkov is not too big of a deal.  Main goal was to seal the border against Ukraine death squads who were terrorizing civilians.  More important, they've sucked in a lot of reserves into the meat grinder.

Southern Donensk, around Ugledar is what I'm watching.  There are signs that the Ukraine army is starting to crack, as they are running out of reserves.  I also think you could see some major Russian breakthroughs on the Zaphorizia front.

Remember the Russian's strategy:
1.  Destroy the Ukraine Army.
2.  Capture logistics centers involving roads and railways.
3.  Destroy logistics, such as power plants that supply the electric railroads.
4.  Capturing territory is unimportant until the end, after a Ukrainian collapse.

I also think the Russians are marking time expecting a Trump victory.  Still Russian tempo has picked up somewhat recently, more due to Ukrainian units collapsing than a big thrust by the Russians.

The European Union has agreed to release steal profits from Russia's "immobilized assets" and to use them to prop up Kiev, EU Commission head Ursula von der Leyen announced on Tuesday.

The bloc has agreed to a new aid package for Ukraine, which includes €1.9 billion ($2 billion) from the EU's Ukraine facility, as well as some €1.5 billion ($1.6 billion) in windfall profits "generated stolen from immobilized Russian assets."

Not a good move.  Russia will now start seizing assets of companies from the Former West located in Russia.  So it will be a wash for Russia.  On the flip side, Saudi and Dubai will start looking for other places to stash their reserves.  Bullish for gold and bitcoin.

Roman Saponkov: Judging by the frequent attempts to attack our air defense in the south, everything is heading towards an imminent massive NATO air raid. The F-16s for strikes are already at a low start, and their "transfer" will traditionally be announced a couple of days after the first strikes from these F-16s. All the missing pilots will be found in NATO countries, but they won't tell us about it.
Most likely they will fly from countries bordering Ukraine. The target could be the group in Crimea and the Dnepr group. The enemy will try to gain air superiority by simply destroying our air defense and aircraft.
