Some info on the devotion to the Fourteen Holy Helpers. I can't find a reason their collective feast is August 8th, I think September 24th would be appropriate.  The Wikipedia article about the Vierzehnheiligen basilica details the miraculous origin of the devotion. But I can't help coming back to this devotion, it's definitely one of the more outstanding saint devotions in Catholic culture.
