The coming of Christ hasn't really had a profound effect on the history of man as far as warfare goes as shown in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Granada, Desert Storm, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, Palestine, the Red Sea, etc. The same slaughter continues on unabated as in Roman times.

Christ's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom not an earthly kingdom.

Not exactly; Our Lord's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom, because its purpose is the salvation of souls and not the accumulation of wealth, power, territories etc. But our Lord's kingdom here on Earth is the Catholic Church, a kingdom composed of men living in the world, and who have the duty to help spread his kingdom and assist it; in the measure that they can; the salvation of their fellow men. Rulers have the obligation of passing just laws; repressing evil doers; helping families and individuals to lead virtuous lives, especially by assisting the Church in its earthly mission, by helping to support Catholic schools, seminaries and religious institutions, including charitable one's. The drama of man's salvation or perdition is played out here and now on Earth in the lives of those currently living; a battle between our Lord and His followers, and Satan and his. This will continue until the end of the world. There is no such thing as being "neutral" or a "non-participant" in this battle; one must decide every day what side to be for and what side against.
The increase in the size and destruction of Armies and warfare has increased apace with the dechristianization of society and the world.
