Hey everybody. It's been a minute!

Things are getting real interesting out there in the world. Hope you all have your blessed candles and basement of beans and dry goods at the ready!

Oh boy, you've missed alot.  The latest concensus is there is going to be no 3 Days Darkness
"O Lord, save Thy people and bless Thine inheritance, granting to Thy people victory over all their enemies, and by the power of Thy Cross preserving Thy commonwealth."

Interesting! And this consensus is built on what data? (or lack thereof)

Concensus? I can't speak for others, but I find the 3 days darkness to be quite credible, but have been too ill to post much.

This talk is quite damaging to the idea.  There's quite a few threads lately, I won't repeat it all here.

On what basis do you find it to be credible if there are no credible sources of the prophecy?

There's literally zero evidence that any of the Blesseds ever made the prediction.

That makes it a fiction, a tale, a legend.  That is how we determine authenticity.  Is there a publication somewhere of the saint or blessed making the prophecy in their own lifetime or someone extremely close to them and trustworthy like a religious superior or family member saying that they said it?

There isn't in the case of the 3 days of darkness. You find it credible because other Trads believed it.  And they believe it because of other Trads.  There's zero authenticity to it.

This short clip only addresses the Anna Maria Taigi attribution. Marie Julie Jahenny, who was more contemporary, has numerous referrals to the the 3 days, as recorded by the Marquis de Franquerie

What are the arguments against these writings, in particular? Curios to know.

Jahenny spoke of two warnings, another 2 days of Darkness, distinct from the 3 days.

Just to be clear. I am agnostic/open on the whole matter. The necessity for particular candles to be on hand always struck me as somewhat arbitrary and of a particular age.

The candles are what makes me doubtful of the 3 days.  Even though they're blessed candles, the dependence placed on them borders on superstition.  As though Christ would place the fate, so to speak, of His children on candles they might not be able to obtain. His grace should suffice.

Xavier Reyes-Ayral is acquainted with The Granddaughter of Jahaenny's biographer, the Marquis de Franquerie, who passed away in the early 2000s. Xavier was granted access to the original documents in writing his own book.

Discussed here:

Xavier's hit and miss...and heavily supports Medjugoogoo which is demonic.

In March he was anywhere and everywhere saying April's "it" then uses the excuse that prayer gave God cause to delay "it"

Pretty easy to be a prophet of doom with that excuse always in your back pocket

I thought you meant Xavier/Nishant at first.

At the various chapels I've attended, most families have the candles but do not put any trust whatsoever in the candles. Our trust in in The Lord.

Some have done in-depth research and have come to the conclusion that so many Blesseds, (some with the stigmata, some with approval of their local Bishops) and so many allusions in Holy Scripture, cannot be wrong.

Others have not looked into the information available, they just chhose to have them just in case.
