COLUMBUS

Behind him lay the gray Azores,
Behind the Gates of Hercules;
Before him not the ghost of shores,
Before him only shoreless seas.
The good mate said: "Now must we pray,
For lo! the very stars are gone.
Brave Admiral, speak, what shall I say?"
"Why, say, Sail on! sail on! and on!'"

"My men grow mutinous day by day;
My men grow ghastly wan and weak."
The stout mate thought of home; a spray
Of salt wave washed his swarthy cheek.
"What shall I say, brave Admiral, say,
If we sight naught but seas at dawn?"
"Why, you shall say at break of day,
Sail on! sail on! sail on! and on!'"

They sailed and sailed, as winds might blow,
Until at last the blanched mate said:
"Why, now not even God would know
Should I and all my men fall dead.
These very winds forget their way,
For God from these dread seas is gone.
Now speak, brave Admiral, speak and say"-
He said: "Sail on! sail on! and on!"

They sailed. They sailed. Then spake the mate:
"This mad sea shows his teeth tonight.
He curls his lip, he lies in wait,
With lifted teeth, as if to bite!
Brave Admiral, say but one good word:
What shall we do when hope is gone?"
The words leapt like a leaping sword:
"Sail on! sail on! sail on! and on!"

Then, pale and worn, he kept his deck,
And peered through darkness. Ah, that night
Of all dark nights! And then a speck-
A light! A light! A light! A light!
It grew, a starlit flag unfurled!
It grew to be Time's burst of dawn.
He gained a world; he gave that world
Its grandest lesson: "On! sail on!"

In these days where communists, the devil worshippers and other haters of Jesus are aligned to destroy Christianity and desire to revive those practices of feeding themselves with human organs, they express extreme rage to the moments when evil empires were destroyed by the Catholics.

Instaurare omnia

The only reason Columbus Day even exists is because 1892 was the 400th anniversary of 1492. Why 1892? Because then-President Harrison wanted to placate Italian-Americans -- and the Italian government, which had broken off diplomatic relations with the US -- following the prior year's lynching of 11 men in New Orleans. Why were they lynched? Because the 11 killed (as well as eight others who evaded the lynch mob) arrested as "the usual suspects", had just been acquitted of the murder of the chief of police. That chief of police, mixed up with local racketeering, was murdered a few days before he was to testify at a trial. What were Italians doing in New Orleans (and elsewhere in the gulf states)? Cheap labor imported to replace blacks during the Jim Crow era. To this date, this event was the worst mass lynching in US history.
Nisi Dominus custodierit civitatem, frustra vigilat qui custodit eam (Psalm 126:2).
Benedicite, montes et colles, Domino: benedicite universa germinantia in terra, Domino (Daniel 3:75-76).
Put not your trust in princes: In the children of men, in whom there is no salvation (Psalm 145:2-3).

^^I was able to watch the movie about that:

Tennessean

I was watching Yellowstone in the boat lounge, and the episode had an indian woman teaching her students that Colombus was a mass murderer, the Renaissance was evil, Europeans were tyrants, catholic schools took away indian identity, etc. "I'm not going to teach you the oppressor's history, I'm going to teach you what really happened." Its all so tiresome. I grew up listening to all her talking points. They lie to every generation, because nobody reads. Then she tells them that they're all oppressed by the kings and priests and democracy good.

Elizabeth

:censor: I forget about all of those brainwashing shows, Tennessee.  But a boat lounge sounds kind of sweet....
