It was free.  With that, there came a lot of limitations as to what I could (and couldn't) do as an administrator.  For being created and run by a guy and what seems to be his family, it is an impressive setup.

However, SimpleMachines gives me the freedom and leeway to make the forum experience a lot better for everyone involved here.  :)
