I made an excellent wonton soup - well, something very like a wonton soup - out of chicken stock, egg noodles, scallions, and a leftover pork chop. I was pretty pleased with the results, considering it was all improvised.  :)

If  I feel up to it, I plan to cook hamburgers made with green onion dressing mix (I think that's what it is). I bought an indoor grill at a garage sale for five dollars. It's never been opened. Can't wait.

I haven't cooked a meal myself in a while (besides breakfast). I'm either eating out, eating at someone else's place, or my mother cooks.

I broiled slices of eggplant stacked with tomatoes, garlic, tarragon, and cheddar. Also know as "What's in my fridge tonight?"

The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
    It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
    It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?
Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;
    And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil;
    And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell: the soil
Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.

And for all this, nature is never spent;
    There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
And though the last lights off the black West went
    Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs —
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent
    World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.

Meatloaf with steamed broccoli and macaroni and cheese, home-made of course.  :)

I'm also thinking about baking some banana bread.

I was gonna bake cookies today and prepare a sweet chicken curry for my mama for her return tomorrow.

But then I broke my back*.

lol, I just took the remaining pieces of chicken breast, boiled them with onion, pepper, and tomato, then threw in a "healthy" amount of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and some strange seasoning my roomate's bought. Then added a bit of Tabasco, because I felt there was something missing.

Chicken marinated in soy sauce and pineapple juice, with a glaze of orange marmelade and green onions, over rice with black beans and crushed red pepper with a side of pineapples. Oh, yum!!
