Would like to hear other people's thoughts on this video. It's about an hour long.

Antonius

I can only speak as someone from the UK. It seems that sport is becoming the new form of religious worship, and sportstars, being held in almost God like status. There was a time when people went to Church to gather for worship. Now sports stadium has become the focus point of worship, and sport participants being given the highest form of worship. Those who publicly declare a Christian faith. Rather than being held as role models, are ignored.
Nemo me inpune lacessit.

The Curt Jester

Missing Mass to to bring children to sports games is extremely common.
The royal feast was done; the King
Sought some new sport to banish care,
And to his jester cried: "Sir Fool,
Kneel now, and make for us a prayer!"

The jester doffed his cap and bells,
And stood the mocking court before;
They could not see the bitter smile
Behind the painted grin he wore.

He bowed his head, and bent his knee
Upon the Monarch's silken stool;
His pleading voice arose: "O Lord,
Be merciful to me, a fool!"

That's absolutely ridiculous. Like wow.
All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost.

"Am I not here, I who am your mother?" Mary to Juan Diego

"Let a man walk ten miles steadily on a hot summer's day along a dusty English road, and he will soon discover why beer was invented." G.K. Chesterton

It's unfortunate, that seems to be normal way of life for some people.

Because Sunday is now "family day" instead of the Lord's Day.  Then it makes sense.  When I took TKD years ago the black belt portion of tournaments were early morning, no way I could've attended those.  Thankfully I was only color belt and that was late morning.  But no way I was missing Mass or going to Saturday "vigil"

I think the Saturday vigil contributes greatly to the diminishing of the Lord's day. It's an aspect of the revolution in the Church that's hardly looked at.
"If anyone is excommunicated it is not I, but the excommunicators." - Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre
" A false church cannot have a true mission." - St. Francis De Sales
" The way is open for us to deprive councils of their authority, contradict their acts freely, and profess confidently, whatever SEEMS to be true. " - Martin Luther

Has become

I don't much care for hour long lectures anymore, but I find it hard to take seriously a pudgy priest's commentary on the sports.

Said priest also never attended seminary. He did independent study/apprenticeship under Fr. Kevin Vaillancourt.

This talk is only 10 minutes long.  This priest is big in the right way lol.  P.S. despite being being Orthodox nothing in the video that a Catholic will balk at

Yes, Fr. Moses is a powerlifter.

I like a lot of his videos.

We need more priests like that.  Not necessarily every one a power lifter, but priests doing manly things with men at their parish.  Imagine the boost in participation in the men's group!

There's something to be said, especially regarding relatability, about a married priest raising 5 sons.

He's a bit of a cock when it comes to Catholicism tbh. Typical western Ortho Catholic hater. Many such cases. I'd rather listen to Fr. Heers and that's saying a lot.
