The SSPX chapels I've attended have had signs requesting digital devices be turned off.  Because of that, I think I'd be averse to using a digital device during Mass.  I might use my Kindle Keyboard at Mass, but I do not think I would use a backlit device, just because I think the backlight would be distracting and trads are ornery.

After I posted it, I wondered if our British friends thought I meant medicine tablets.  ;D
