Human Fraternity Document a source of inspiration: Pope Francis.

Sudan recently declared religious freedom for Christians. There have been some voices in the Muslim world, at long last, calling for cessation of the persecution of Christians. Pope Francis' Human Fraternity Document, for all its flaws, aimed to tackle the problem of the persecution of Christians worldwide. How can that be done in a principled proper way without compromise?

(MENAFN - Emirates News Agency (WAM)) VATICAN CITY, 31st July 2020 (WAM) -- His Holiness Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church, on Friday received Mohammed Abdul Salam, Secretary General of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity.

Pope Francis expressed appreciation to the unlimited support given by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Committee, and his keenness to translate the Document on Human Fraternity into practical steps.

He added that the Document has always been a source of inspiration to him and to His Eminence Dr. Ahmed el-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, to continue working for the peace and well-being of the mankind.

He also renewed his support to the Committee in its endeavours to realise the principles of the Document on Human Fraternity.

Pope Francis was briefed on the programmes and initiatives being implemented by the Committee, including Zayed Award for Human Fraternity and the Abrahamic Family House.

The meeting was attended by Yoannis Lahzi Gaid, former personal secretary to Pope Francis and member of the Committee.

Bible verses on walking blamelessly with God, after being forgiven from our former sins. Some verses here: https://dailyverses.net/blameless

"[2] He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice:[3] He that speaketh truth in his heart, who hath not used deceit in his tongue: Nor hath done evil to his neighbour: nor taken up a reproach against his neighbours.(Psalm 14)

"[2] For in many things we all offend. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man."(James 3)

"[14] And do ye all things without murmurings and hesitations; [15] That you may be blameless, and sincere children of God, without reproof, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation; among whom you shine as lights in the world." (Phil 2:14-15)

Prayerful

Francis really is the pope of the new one world religion. There is no doubting that masonic document is a guide for him.
Padre Pio: Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.

There should be a way of striving to reduce Christian persecution worldwide without resorting to Masonic ideas. Christians in Islamic countries need religious freedom.

Yes, it is the program given by Our Lord: 'Go ye therefore and teach all nations, bapizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
When did we see any of the Fathers and saints of the Church call for "religious liberty; "freedom of conscience" or the goodness of all religions,  in the face of persecution?
"The World Must Conform to Our Lord and not He to it." Rev. Dennis Fahey CSSP

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." Hi Michael. Pope Leo XIII says the apologists of Christianity asked for a kind of liberty: "30. Another liberty is widely advocated, namely, liberty of conscience. If by this is meant that everyone may, as he chooses, worship God or not, it is sufficiently refuted by the arguments already adduced. But it may also be taken to mean that every man in the State may follow the will of God and, from a consciousness of duty and free from every obstacle, obey His commands. This, indeed, is true liberty, a liberty worthy of the sons of God, which nobly maintains the dignity of man and is stronger than all violence or wrong - a liberty which the Church has always desired and held most dear. This is the kind of liberty the Apostles claimed for themselves with intrepid constancy, which the apologists of Christianity confirmed by their writings, and which the martyrs in vast numbers consecrated by their blood. And deservedly so; for this Christian liberty bears witness to the absolute and most just dominion of God over man, and to the chief and supreme duty of man toward God. It has nothing in common with a seditious and rebellious mind; and in no title derogates from obedience to public authority; for the right to command and to require obedience exists only so far as it is in accordance with the authority of God, and is within the measure that He has laid down. But when anything is commanded which is plainly at variance with the will of God, there is a wide departure from this divinely constituted order, and at the same time a direct conflict with divine authority; therefore, it is right not to obey." http://c.vatican.va/content/leo-xiii/en/encyclicals/documents/hf_l-xiii_enc_20061888_libertas.html

This site makes the case that Catholics like Lord Baltimore were instrumental in procuring a measure of religious freedom in the Americas after Protestantism broke out.

"D. Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church (P)

"In the 17th century the most notable instances of practical toleration were the colonies of Maryland, founded by Lord Baltimore in 1632 for persecuted Catholics, which offered asylum also to Protestants, and of Rhode Island, founded by Roger Williams." (78:1383)

Stories of Protestant intolerance in America prior to 1789 could be multiplied indefinitely. Jefferson and Madison, in pushing for complete religious freedom, were reacting primarily to these inter-Protestant wars for dominance, not the squabbles of post-Reformation Europe. Here we are concerned with the immediate era of the Protestant Revolution - roughly 1517 to 1600, so the above anecdotes will have to suffice as altogether typical examples."

Xavier,
thanks for posting the quote from Pope Leo; the "freedom for the good and true" is of course different than the "Religious Liberty" of Francis and V-II.

Well Christians are already free to be persecuted and martyred. And is it not an act of religion, to be persecuted and martyred? So in a way they already have freedom of religion.

The only way to solve the problem would be to destroy and/or convert the entire Muslim world. Only God can do this.
