All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost.

"Am I not here, I who am your mother?" Mary to Juan Diego

I have one intention close to my heart.
Sins of impurity have reached their peak all over the world. Even children have not been spared. I suggest we pray for those who are addicted to pornography, masturbation and are sexually depraved. Our Lady of Fatima said that most of the souls go to hell for the sins of impurity.
QuoteMost statistics on pornography use say the average age of a child's first exposure to pornography is 11 years old. New research from the security technology company Bitdefender, has reported children under the age of 10 now account for 22% of online porn consumption under 18 -years old.
"These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you shall have distress: but have confidence, I have overcome the world." John 16:33

A friend of mine recently threw out some rubrics for me and another. If anyone is interested, I can share. But I am conceding to Dia as to the specifics of the commitment since she started the thread.

Would be delighted if you shared...I love learning new spiritual exercises.

Apostles Creed
12 Glory Be
Portion of Breastplate:

"Christ as a light illume and guide me
Christ as a shield overshadow and cover me,
Christ be under me, Christ be over me,
Christ beside me on my left and my right.
Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ about me,
Christ be this day within and without me."

Amen

I found the following resource useful.  I am going to try to read the propers for every day of Lent.

Below are links for today and tomorrow.

Father time has an undefeated record.

But when he's dumb and no more here,
Nineteen hundred years or near,
Clau-Clau-Claudius shall speak clear.

Yes, I'm interested. Sign me up. May we all have a blessed and fruitful Lent, in preparation for a beautiful Easter. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Bible verses on walking blamelessly with God, after being forgiven from our former sins. Some verses here: https://dailyverses.net/blameless

"[2] He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice:[3] He that speaketh truth in his heart, who hath not used deceit in his tongue: Nor hath done evil to his neighbour: nor taken up a reproach against his neighbours.(Psalm 14)

"[2] For in many things we all offend. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man."(James 3)

"[14] And do ye all things without murmurings and hesitations; [15] That you may be blameless, and sincere children of God, without reproof, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation; among whom you shine as lights in the world." (Phil 2:14-15)

I'm gonna read daily meditations from the "Divine Intimacy" book and finally try to fit in "The Liturgical Year" by Guéranger.

I'm finally re-reading The Imitation of Christ, which I haven't read since probably my late teens.

Weekday Masses 3x a week, forcing me to arise very early, which is great discipline for me.  Confession 1x a week.

Love clau clau's reminder about the daily Propers.  Several online resources for that, which I also discovered some time ago.  I'll try to post more of relevant sermons. And I will find some stuff for diaduit.

Those who can't fast for medical reasons need only be sparing and "essential" about what they eat.  I have found for my own self that neither restricting myself to one category of sacrifice nor trying to be grandiose about it benefits me spiritually.  This may not work for everyone, but what works for me is simply to regard food as a minimal necessity.  Plain, unadorned, as long as it's edible and you will finish it all.  Eat enough to sustain you, whatever your dietary needs, and keep it very simple.

The idea is to detach, not to become a martyr and then congratulate yourself interiorly.  Make food unimportant and secondary to your spiritual reading, meditation, and sacraments.  Food is way too important in the developed world.

Just thinking that our bumps should include our intentions too.

For the Reign of Christ the King in our countries, the conversion of evildoers in our Church hierarchy and Governments and lastly for the Truth to be received by our fellow loved ones especially those entrenched in the sin of modernism.

I have always followed this advice in prior Lents regarding individual sacrifices, so I thought I would post this now, and withdraw my suggestion of intentions, even though my post did not reveal anything about sacrifices per se.  I had merely wanted to offer a suggestion, but I agree with this author that even intentions should be kept private.

All of us cradle trads were taught this from the beginning.

True, but common intentions? Certainly it is becoming for us to band together and pray for a common cause, is it not?
