I see your imagery and raise you De Staat's "Witch Doctor" (one foul word in beginning warning).

This husband/wife duo play some very down-home tunes.

He's originally from Tennessee and lived a rail tramp life in his late teens/early twenties, and she is from South Dakota. Last I knew they have made their home in Kentucky where they are homesteading/farming on around 11 acres.

For the stone shall cry out of the wall; and the timber that is between the joints of the building, shall answer.  Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and prepareth a city by iniquity. - Habacuc 2,11-12

This song was big in New York when I was a kid twenty five years ago. Warning, explicit lyrics. I wish I knew more about rap music. There is so much suffering underneath the themes of violence and money and hoes and drugs. Listening to this song closely it seems almost religious.

Christe Eleison - This is the first audio-book I have listened to in a while.  But, I am going to continue doing this.  The library usually has lots of audio-books as well.  I think this is a good alternative to television-like entertainment.  And, if I am unable to read for some reason, it is a great replacement for that too.
