In a March 10 homily in Rome, Cardianl Donald W Weurl, archbishop of Washington DC, emphasized the importance of the sacrament of confefssion in liberating the faithful and leading them back to God.

No one is imune from sin. It is a good thing for all of us that Jesus instituted the sacrament of confession.
