QuoteCzech President warns Europe: Prepare for potential Trump-Putin pact post U.S. elections

- This is not about undermining transatlantic relations or questioning the United States as an ally, but rather, we should realistically accept that Donald Trump may see many things differently - stated Petr Pavel, the president of the Czech Republic, on Monday. He also holds the positions of army general, former Chief of the Czech Armed Forces General Staff, and chairman of the NATO Military Committee

Possible Trump-Putin Deal

Pavel believes it's entirely valid to consider the possibility that Trump may win the election and swiftly forge an agreement with Vladimir Putin. Such an arrangement may not favor Europe and Ukraine. - In this scenario, we will be confronted with a fait accompli that we will need to manage - he surmised.

The Czech president, who also served as a military officer, pointed out that Ukraine's battlefield capabilities are currently limited compared to Russia's. Hence, Pavel suggests the allies should curb offensive activities and reinforce defenses. To accomplish this, Kiev needs not only purely defensive weaponry but also resources that could disrupt Russian army supply routes, such as artillery, longer-range maneuvering missiles, and F-16 planes.

Endorses Expansion of the European Union

The Czech President expressed his approval for the expansion of the European Union to potentially include Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and the Western Balkan states.

He further emphasized the need to intensify cooperation, both economically and security-wise, with these countries to avoid any spots in Europe where different influences intersect could potentially lead to conflicts.

With the election of Trump this further strengthens the EU and pushes us farther to a potential one-world government?

Do the US and Russia go to war with the EU?

Rashly accepting a bunch of weird and war torn countries into the EU would weaken the EU.

But their goal is never ending war, which this would accomplish perfectly.

What would accomplish never ending war perfectly? The OP made a speculative argument that the election of Trump could lead to the expansion and strengthening of the EU, and I pointed out that absorbing those countries would actually weaken the EU. What part of that does your "this" refer to? Electing Trump? A speculative alliance of Trump and Putin? The weakening of the EU? The strengthening of the EU? Moreover, how do you know that "their" goal is never ending war?

The Czech president's plan for military expansion.  This war could have ended years ago, a plan for continual war is the best plausible explanation.  It enables the elites to siphon funds, sieze more powers, and keeps the population wary so they let their guard down as their rights are stripped away.  But the populace seems to waking up while the powers that be keep pushing for war.  This will (and already has, though from other causes) create civil unrest that will only weaken NATO and strengthen Russia.

There's an assumption that Trump will win the election?

Kind of like bringing in millions of weird and war torn immigrants into Canada, US, EU and UK
have weakened these countries and driven inflation and housing shortages.

Immigrants escaping wars driven by Israel, UK and US policies.

QuoteRussia's war in Ukraine has had an unlikely consequence — it has revived the EU's plans to get even bigger

Davos, SWITZERLAND — Russia's invasion of Ukraine gave fresh political momentum to the European Union and its plans for enlargement in the strategically important Western Balkans. But whether the neighboring region is ready — and willing — to finally make the steps needed to join the union remains unclear.

The Western Balkans, comprised of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia, represent a notable gap in the map of EU membership in southeastern Europe.

Though each has applied for — and been granted — candidate or potential candidate member status over the past two decades following the fall of the socialist federation of Yugoslavia in 1992, progress on accession has been generally slow.

Lajčák said that countries in the Western Balkans, in the past, had been hesitant to truly engage in such reforms because they "did not believe in a true European future" — or that they could realistically meet the requirements.

But all that changed with the outbreak of war on Europe's doorstep in February 2022.

Within days of Russia's invasion, Ukraine, neighboring Moldova and, soon after, nearby Georgia applied for EU candidate status. By late 2023, the EU launched accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova, and granted candidate status to Georgia, adding momentum to the European project and signaling renewed hope for other would-be members.

"Ukraine and Moldova and Georgia brought a fresh energy and commitment – something that was almost lost in the Balkans," Lajčák said. "Now, it's very clear that the European Union is serious."

The side effect of Putin's invasion of Ukraine is that the EU will become stronger and faster than it would have. Thus, enabling a world government and world dictator after the dust is settled.

Interesting the twists and turns of history.
