Keyboard warriors.

You two must feel so manly.  Are you going to run through the Gladiator Arena for us or no?

I'm not offended by the word "fatty," I just don't think it is an appropriate thing to call someone. Nor do I think it can be compared with using graphic language about abortion, since one is a grave evil, and one just bothers you because you find it aesthetically displeasing.

I don't like the idea that people should make negative comments about another person's appearance, since it is largely out of anyone's control.

Funny how these modern women love to use the bad linguistic habits formerly the domain of sailors in bars, yet want to claim their right to be offended simultaneously.

I do not use coarse language and would be very pleased if no women used coarse language.  However women do not appreciate me telling them what do, any more than men do.  I think that I am noticing a pattern here.

Then we have King Louis coming to the rescue in the role of Mangina.

It is right, natural, and very traditional for men to act as the protectors of women.  It is disturbing to see a traditional Catholic man call another names for this.  In any event, I am grateful to King Louis.

Vulgar language is usually not a sin, just bad manners.

Isn't being bad manners enough reason to avoid something?

Sure it is, but I think people make a bigger fuss over it than is necessary.

There must be a place between making a big fuss and acting like it is completely acceptable.  But I don't know how to get there.

The only time I've seen someone get very upset is when it happens with children around.  If people had the manners to moderate themselves and not make "bad words" such a normal part of their vocab that it just spills out, other people wouldn't have to get so upset.

The irony is rich.  Is your gladiator name, Mangina?

If men only use crude language in sailor bars, and crude language is being used here, then I'm forced to conclude that Suscipe Domine is really a bar. In which case, there is a deplorable lack of good beer and drinking songs.
People talk vaguely about the innocence of a little child, but they take mighty good care not to let it out of their sight for twenty minutes.-Saki.

I admit it.  It bothered me more when a woman said it.

The only irony is in a bunch of supposed traditionalists trying to support traditional chivalry and gender roles while treating women like modern boys do.
