One suggestion was a prayer thread sticky in the prayer subforum.

Is there some better way?

I noticed that there is also a button at the top called "Alerts". This will indicate all the people who 'liked' your messages with a link to the post. It is quite useful.

There was another 'old boy' who died a while ago but I cannot remember his username. Perhaps I am getting mixed up with Fisheaters. He used to converse with Greg alot. Can you remember who that was Greg?

Yes, if you go to someone's profile, you'll see when they were last active on the forum. He posted something maybe a month or two ago.
In conclusion, I can leave you with no better advice than that given after every sermon by Msgr Vincent Giammarino, who was pastor of St Michael's Church in Atlantic City in the 1950s:

"My dear good people: Do what you have to do, When you're supposed to do it, The best way you can do it,   For the Love of God. Amen"

I thought that St. Justin had kicked the bucket, so I decided to contact him before asking prayers for the repose of his soul; he thought that the forum had closed.
"The World Must Conform to Our Lord and not He to it." Rev. Dennis Fahey CSSP

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." Was Timoose on Fisheaters? I could not him in the member list here.

Quote from: Mr. Mysterious on January 05, 2023, 09:34:28 PMTim McCarthy is another. He died some years ago and only posted here a handful of times but many will remember he had a devotion to Fatima.

I remember Tim more from the "fish tank" but I do believe he registered here when Suscipe Domine started.  Timothy died March 20, 2014.  Another I recall from those days, though I don't think he was registered here, was Laszlo Kiss, who died July 11, 2011.  Laszlo started the Divinum Officium web site.  Tim help him with that project (by proof reading I believe).

Yes, Tim McCarthy was Timoose in the "fish tank."
