Yesterday the Catholic church celebrated the liturgical memorial of Our lady of Lourdes, recalling the series of 18 appearances of the Blessed Virgin to a 14 year old peasant girl, St Bernadette Soubirous.

Here is the life of St Bernadette, the girl who saw the Blessed Virgin. It is important to remember that Bernadette got to Heaven, not because she saw the Holy Virgin, by being holy and being faithful to her vocation in life.
