It it not the sniffles.  Covid is a man made virus more dangerous than the regular flu

The numbers disagree with you.  The flu kills roughly the same number of people (0.1%) as this fake pandemic virus (0.3%).  (Yes, I can see that one number is 3x the other number, but it's not the 10% that everyone seems to think it is.  These numbers are in the same ballpark.)

and which makes normal working age people breathless and fatigued for several weeks to over a month.

The flu does the same for an unlucky few.  It even causes pneumonia sometimes.

it is anti-social.

We really don't care here in freedom country.  "Antisocial behavior" is an argument that only works in countries still subject to the Queen.  I understand that a constant stream of vulgarity is also considered "antisocial behavior" where people care about that sort of thing.

If you have a cold sneeze in a tissue and wash your hands.

You should be washing your hands even if you're not sick.  Gross.

Monitoring people's temperature is smart.

No, it is authoritarian overreach, and it's pretty stupid.  For most people, popping a Tylenol will circumvent it anyway.

Seat belts and crash helmet laws are overreach then.  There is no chance of making someone else sick if you don't wear a crash helmet on a bike or a seat-belt in a car.

The reality is that many laws are "overreach" and largely because some people in society cannot control themselves.  Sick people not going out and spreading their germs is a outcome good for the people they would infect.  I am all for people making that determination themselves and acting responsibly.  If they cannot, then taking people's temperatures is the next best thing.

That is 3 times as many.  So Covid is more threatening as I said.

I would not go out if I suspected I had flu.  So I certainly would NOT be walking around with a communicable disease 3 times as deadly.

0.3% is still a large number of people.  That is like saying you only drive like a lunatic for 1 day per year and all the other days you drive safely.  Well on the day you do drive like a lunatic I have no objection to your human rights being infringed to stop you putting other people in harm's way.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  I would be really pissed off if I ended up fatigued and shallow-breathing for 5 weeks because some asshole with a temperature who suspected they had Covid had to go out to a mall rather than stay at home.

No, with error bars and standard deviations many times that difference, they are statistically the same number.  In future years, when "covid" becomes even less serious than it already is, if we have a particularly bad flu year, you'll even see those numbers invert.

Morality didn't change with Koch's postulates.

You don't get to lay new conditions on other people's right to participate in society.

If someone is scared of the sniffles, they are welcome to hide out in their basement, like the Fake President.

It would be nice to see that we have learned at least one thing from all this crap, and that is to STAY HOME WHEN YOU ARE SICK.  The ones that don't are spreading it and have no concern for anyone but themselves.

This World covid-19 Stats page shows that at this time there are 9,358,590 active cases of covid-19 in the U.S.  Far more by a long shot than any other country in the world.  With a population of approximately 330,000,000 people that means that approximately 1 in every 35 U.S. citizens have covid-19.  I think it's about time to take it a little serious.

Casedemic is fake.  Most positive tests are asymptomatic false positives.  Look at deaths, not "cases", because they can create "cases" whenever they want by pumping up testing.

I do think that I learnt more about the importance of hand washing and staying at home if you're sick, which I can as a sahm however not everyone has the luxury of just staying at home.  If your the breadwinner to pay the bills and buy the food and your company doesn't cover sick pay well then you can't stay home at every sniffle.  My husband ran his own business and couldn't afford to not turn up to work when he was chronically ill from tonsillitis one year, he literally went from hospital A+E to work after getting an IV of antibiotics.  Is it right, no but life isn't fair and you have to roll with the punches.

They are not monitoring the temperature of hard working businessmen.  But people who are shopping.  Nobody needs to go to a shopping mall that badly.

Over here you can't sneeze but the co workers pop their head up like meerkats and its now frowned upon to turn up for work over sniffles.

A child of a friend is now afraid of coughing, not because she's afraid of fakerona, but because she's afraid of what other people might think of her if she coughs.

We have to fight the health dictatorship at every opportunity so that these children can eventually live without fear.

Cowards will be driven back to their basements and will not be allowed to dictate the future of communal norms.

When COVID was a huge worry among the Pathological Covid Neurotics (PCN's(TM)) we had a nurse show up in the morning to shoot our temperature.  As I was walking up on the check station, I'd be dragging a leg and shuffling along, at the same time as hacking and coughing.  As I approached her, I'd be wheezing.  She'd ask the questions: "Shortness of breath?  (Wheezing reply: yeah, it's bad).  Then she'd shoot my temperature and I'd be low.  So I'd yell at her, "How am I going to get my paid 2 weeks leave when the darn nurse can't even read a temperature gun?".  She was a good sport and had a laugh.

Some more interesting statistics again from the World covid-19 Stats page.

https://ncov2019.live/data

US; population 330,000,000, active covid cases 9,343,881.  1 in 35 US citizens have covid.

UK; population 62,000.000, active covid cases 1,560,421.  1 in 40 UK citizens have covid.

Ireland; population 5,000,000, active covid cases 54,605.  1 in 92 Irish have covid.

Australia; population 25,690,000, active covid cases 26,541.  1 in 968 Australians have covid.

Brazil; population 212,600,000, active covid cases 206,259.  1 in 1,031 Brazilians have covid.

Canada; population 38,010,000, active covid cases 26,301.  1 in 1,445 Canadians have covid.

India; population 1,380,000,000, active covid cases 166,241.  1 in 8,301 Indians have covid.

It's very obvious that the use of ivermectine since May 2021 has worked very well for India.  I'm not sure if Brazil uses ivermectine.  Australia has had severe lockdowns and restriction, although it seems to be keeping the spread of covid down.  Canada has had lockdowns and restrictions not as severe, although I believe most Canadians have at least attempted to try to stop the spread of covid.
