IDF troops have begun limited, localized and targeted raids against Hezbollah terror targets in the border area of southern Lebanon

In accordance with the decision of the political echelon, a few hours ago, the IDF began limited, localized, and targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence against Hezbollah terrorist targets and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. These targets are located in villages close to the border and pose an immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel.

The IDF is operating according to a methodical plan set out by the General Staff and the Northern Command which IDF soldiers have trained and prepared for in recent months.

The Israeli Air Force and IDF Artillery are supporting the ground forces with precise strikes on military targets in the area.

As I said, it is put up or shut up time for Hezbollah and Iran.  I do think that Hezbollah will lay low and try to draw in a lot of IDF forces in to the mountainous terrain of Lebanon before hitting the ground forces hard.  I would expect to see Hezbollah launch some serious reprisal strikes against Haifa and Tel A'viv with missiles however.  If that doesn't happen, then Hezbollah is de facto destroyed.  Then you'll get a Gaza pot-shot type conflict.  IDF soldiers will be killed, but strategically it won't be a big problem for Israel.

Hezbollah has launchers in the hills that can't be seen from the air because they are camouflaged. They also have fake ones (decoys) to draw fire.

Supposedly Israel is sending in special forces to locate the hidden ones. Hezbollah has been infiltrated as well.

Iran's leader is being moved around and I don't think Iran is going to do anything but whine. If they do more, Israel will hit their nuke facility.

Not to mention, they attacked Israel on Oct 8 of last year (hard to believe its been nearly a year since this started), so its fully justified to strike back. That was a false flag attack. Furthermore, Israel has no right to attack another country as a claim of self defense.

Organized militant islamists exist merely in the media or on a jew payroll. Take ISIS, for example. I would like to further ask, prior to 1948, and after 70, who controlled The Holy Land? Sincere question, not a condescension.

As I said elsewhere, if that happens we want the Shia to prevail.  Christians do "ok" in Iran and Syria.  The Shia/Persians seem to be a more civilized tribe and are not known for headhunting, like their Sunni cousins.

ISIS was created by Mossad/CIA.  Their purpose is to kill Christians.  And they are Sunni.

Axios is reporting that the White House has intelligence saying Iran imminently plans to carry out a missile attack on Israel in retaliation for the Friday killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

More escalation:

Hezbollah has launched waves of rockets at targets across Israel while hitting border villages with artillery fire hours after IDF troops conducted overnight raids into towns in southern Lebanon.

Air raid sirens sounded across northern and central Israel this morning as air defence systems sprang into action to down the Hezbollah rockets - but some projectiles appeared to sneak through.

Pictures and videos shared to social media showed the remnants of downed projectiles lying in the streets, while smoke was seen rising from buildings struck in Hezbollah's attacks after explosions rang out in Tel Aviv.

The Lebanese group claimed it launched a barrage of Fadi 4 missiles at Israeli Mossad headquarters in Tel Aviv, the IDF 8200 intelligence unit in Glilot, as well as a series of other military targets.

If Hezbollah, Iraq shia, Syria, and Iran coordinate, Israel will be erased.  Imagine a few Iranian missiles hitting the power plants in Israel, and one hitting the Leviathan offshore gas platform.

Remember when Iran retaliated last time, and most of the chuckleheads were crowing about the US shooting down all the slow moving drones, while some pointed out that most if not all of the handful of ballistic missiles that were shot got through?  And in fact Iran put a war head smack dab in the middle of the runway of the most heavily defending airbase in the world?

The lights remained on, so I'd gage this a limited reprisal.  Iran just needs to use a few of these to take out the handful of power plants and Israel will be completely ruined and unlivable.
