QuoteDecember 18, 2021, Saturday of the Advent Ember Days.

Dear friends and benefactors,

This letter replaces the Seminar bulletin n ° 12 that should have appeared before Christmas. In fact, our beloved Seminary is quite proven at this time: you probably already knew that Monsignor Faure, infected with the virus, has been hospitalized since November 24. [He has already left the hospital. Note from NP] A seminarian, a layman who helps in the seminary and Fr. Trincado were also infected, but they are already cured. A German nun who joined our Oblate sisters had to be hospitalized for a few days. One of the people who helps with the newsletter is also hospitalized.

At the beginning of June, Monsignor went to Switzerland to join in the joy of our Swiss friends who celebrated the 60 years of priesthood of Fr. Pierre Epiney, parish priest of Riddes - Ecône since 1967. He supported and encouraged Monsignor Lefebvre a lot since the beginnings of the Ecône seminar.

In July, our Oblate sisters went to help Father Grenon of Riddes at a ten-day girls' camp in the Alps.

At the beginning of September, Fr. Bruno OSB preached the retreat at the beginning of the school year.

We welcomed three new French seminarians. Several others wanted to come from abroad, but it was not possible due to current limitations.

At the end of September, Bishop Faure visited the Czech Republic and Austria, at the request of Fr. Fuchs, to administer the sacrament of confirmation and bless a new chapel.

Due to the restrictions on freedom of travel generated by the Covid, a new seminary has had to be opened near the Benedictine monastery of Monsignor Tomás de Aquino and under his direction. It now has six candidates. Their seminarians will be incardinated in the SAJM. For the sake of these seminarians, Bishop Faure made the sacrifice of sending Deacon D. Nass to Brazil. He helps regularity and piety reign in the new seminary. Deacon Nass will be ordained, God willing, on March 19.

This year, Monsignor Faure decided that, for the formation of new seminarians, the year of spirituality should take place in Morannes. The courses are given by Fathers Trincado, Chirico and the seminarian Perez. The other seminarians continue to receive courses in philosophy and theology at the Avrillé Convent, with our Dominican friends.

Unfortunately, the ordination of two subdeacons, scheduled for December 24, was postponed pending the recovery of Monsignor Faure, whom we once again commend to your prayers.

In Nazareth (this is the name of the house of our Oblate sisters, located a few meters from the seminary) various works have been done during the summer. A small but very beautiful oratory, all made of stone and wood, was the fruit of his hard work, and on September 15, on the feast of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, the patronal feast of the Oblates of the SAJM, Monsignor Faure was able to celebrate there the first mass, leaving the Blessed Sacrament permanently with the Sisters. Thanks again to all of you who have contributed so generously to the purchase and rehabilitation of this small convent.
On September 23, a German nun knocked on the door of Nazareth to ask to share the life of our Oblate sisters. You will receive the habit of the Oblates of the SAJM upon His Excellency's return.

Then, at the end of October, two young men came to discern their vocation away from the world. They follow a strict rule of life that allows them to evaluate the demands of religious life. There are therefore five, now, Nazareth. Blessed be God! The Oblates confidently turn to Saint Joseph to obtain their daily bread and to help them with necessary expenses.

Dear friends, we count on your spiritual and material support so that the work of the Seminary emerges from this most fervent trial and with even greater confidence in divine Providence.

Christmas Midnight Mass will be celebrated in the Seminary for the intentions of all our Friends and Benefactors. May our divine Savior abundantly bless you all on this holy night, as well as your families and all your loved ones.

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." Cardinal Pie of Potiers

"For there are no works of power, dearly-beloved, without the trials of temptations, there is no faith without proof, no contest without a foe, no victory without conflict. This life of ours is in the midst of snares, in the midst of battles; if we do not wish to be deceived, we must watch: if we want to overcome, we must fight." - St. Leo the Great

The SAJM is the breakaway group from the SSPX, correct?
Correct. They are know as either the SSPX-Resistance or the Authentic SSPX.

For a moment I thought they could be a Sedevacantist society. I gather there was such one in Mexico and Spain, if memory serves me.

Do you know if the SAJM is in communion with Bp. Williamson?

Yes, they are the group that stuck with Msgr. W. and the three bishops that he consecrated.
