Judas and Corrupt Shepherds

 The Gospels tell us that after betraying his Lord, Judas regretted his sin in betraying innocent blood, and went to return the money to the priests, who told him "What is that to us?" We know what happened afterwards....  Just think how different things may have been if he had somehow "confessed" to a moral, uncorrupted priest at the time.  Makes one wonder how many souls have been lost due to corrupt clergy, and continue to be lost.
