Petrie

Just wanted to let you know that I have asked K to delete my account.  It is time for me to move on for various reasons.  I enjoyed bantering with most of you and if you happen to be a member at CI, ABL, and/or Bellarmine, I shall meet you on the other side.

Also known as 2Vermont in case you were wondering :-)

I don't think they'll let you delete your account—or, if they do delete it, your posts will still remain but your name will merely be removed from the member lists.  Perhaps that's all you wanted.  But I have made so many typos and grammatical errors and written so many foolish things, I wish there was a way to delete all of one's posts entirely, however I don't think such internet magic exists.

Otherwise: auf Wiedersehen, mein fellow Wachtmeister.  You were an excellent poster, Petrie.  First Bonaventure, now you.  This forum is losing some serious quality as of late.

And so close to feldwebel!

This is like walking off the track with one turn and the straightaway to go!

CI is a nuthouse at best, but I'll have to check out those other two.

Why must you leave?
"One would be straying from the straight path were he to wish the altar restored to its primitive tableform; were he to want black excluded as a color for the liturgical vestments; were he to forbid the use of sacred images and statues in Churches...and lastly were he to disdain and reject polyphonic music or singing in parts, even where it conforms to regulations issued by the Holy See." - Ven. Pope Pius XII

I don't understand.

But I guess it doesn't have to make sense to me for it make sense to someone else. I am sure there is a good reason. May God bless you, Petrie. It is difficult to see you go, but if go you must then may God be with you.

You will be missed.

The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
    It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
    It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?
Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;
    And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil;
    And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell: the soil
Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.

And for all this, nature is never spent;
    There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
And though the last lights off the black West went
    Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs —
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent
    World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.

Will everyone please stop leaving!  >:(    Bonaventure, Petrie, Godfrey of Bouillon, - that's it, right?

But may God go with you!  (And may He stay with us too.  Thank God He is able to do that!)
[Matthew 8:26]  And Jesus saith to them: Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith? Then rising up he commanded the winds, and the sea, and there came a great calm.

[Job  38:1-5]  Then the Lord answered Job out of a whirlwind, and said: [2] Who is this that wrappeth up sentences in unskillful words? [3] Gird up thy loins like a man: I will ask thee, and answer thou me. [4] Where wast thou when I laid up the foundations of the earth? tell me if thou hast understanding. [5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Jesus, Mary, I love Thee! Save souls!
