This thread is posted to announce that at noon, EST, this 31st day of May A.D. 2013, I hereby resign my position as a moderator of the Suscipe Domine forum.

Whereas I might post a little more today or tomorrow here and elsewhere, I will be busy throughout June preparing a new website which will serve as a database for bibliographic information (text and pictures) pertaining to Catholic books published 1890-1965, reprints of those books from 1965 through now, Traditionalist books and pamphlets published in response to the Crisis from 1965 through now, and other Trad resources.  Bibles, Missals, Breviaries, other liturgical books, catechisms, theology manuals, lay devotional and prayer books - I want to catalog all of these and more in one dedicated place, and link to the text of the given work when lack of copyright permits.  This website will be launched as a forum, so that anyone can sign up as a member and post exemplary copies of the books.  In addition to the sections of the website's forum which will host text and images of Catholic books, I am considering creating two other subforums: one for selling/buying/trading Catholic books, and the other for discussion.  But these are only considerations at this point.

In case the reader is interested, the format of the information for bibliographic submissions should look something like this:

Author (if known)
Title
Edition (if known)
Publisher
Place of publication
Year of publication
Pictures of the book's front cover (1), back cover (1), spine (1), each of the other sides of the book (3), title page (1), copyright/limitation page (1), amounting to a total of eight ( 8 ) pictures for a given book.

Work published exclusively online will also be documented and, if/when permitted, archived.

This thread will be unlocked and the new website's URL posted upon launch, currently set to be July 1st of this year:  the Feast of the Most Precious Blood.

Of course, the new website is not my only reason for resigning my position on Suscipe Domine.  While I certainly regard the other moderators and the administrator of this site as fellow Catholics, I can no longer ignore the philosophical and practical difficulties of reconciling myself to the general user identity which has come to be the ideal here.  I made my intention to resign known to the other mods and the admin Tuesday night; the admin has accepted my resignation, and I depart from the mod team on amicable terms with all members of the forum leadership.

I'd just like to, on behalf of the moderation and administration of Suscipe Domine, thank tmw89 for his work and commitment over the last few months.  He has been a great mod to work with, and we wish him all the best.
