Ukraine has confirmed an F-16 has "crashed".  Most likely shot down:

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also finally confirmed the crash: "Communication was lost with one of the F-16s. The plane crashed, the pilot was killed, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement. To find out the causes of the accident, a special commission of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, working in the area of the crash of the aircraft, is intended."

They will all be shot down.  The F-16 is not stealth.

The Kursk operation has stalled.  The Ukrainians have lost half a division and a lot of equipment.  The "counter-attack" at Pokrosvk is an excuse, it won't amount to much.

Ukrainian sources are now talking about a halting of Kursk "for a short time" while a counter attack is to be conducted in the Pokrovsk direction.

Putin ran the same campaign in Syria and faced a lot of opposition, who demanded he unleash the dogs.  In the end he met his strategic objectives.

In other news Ukraine announced it will stop the transit of gas and oil through Ukraine in the winter of 2025.  He thinks he is blackmailing the EU.  Instead he's making it more likely that NATO finally cuts a deal with Russia.

The citizens, obviously yes.  A lot of them fled Ukraine to avoid the war.  The Ukraine government run by Yermak with Z. as his puppet want the war to continue.  Christians killing Christians is a feature.

We'll see what happens after they lose Donetsk Oblast.  I think they'll go nuts and launch a dirty bomb.

Not much to report.  The Kursk "Offensive" has ground to a halt, even losing ground.  Provosk is still the hot spot, where Freedom Force continues its Victorious Advance and Team Unicorn keeps retreating.  Freedom Force has also opened up a new vector at Ugledar, and is putting it in a caudron.  When (not If this time) it falls, South East Donestsk Oblast will fall quickly, opening up a second front on the Zaphoryizia Oblast.

With the loss of its, at least tactical reserves if not Strategic, I can see the army falling apart by winter.  I think due to the symbolism Team Unicorn will put up a stubborn last stand at Kramatosk and Sloviansk.  Once they fall, and it could take some doing, there's nothing left up to the Dnieper River.

Interesting update.  Freedom force opened up a new salient against Ugledar.  As part of the operation some units struck west of Ugledar to form the caudron around the town.  The Ukraine units collapsed.  The Russians kept advancing and outran their supply lines and had to stop.  A Russian soldier also reported that their was initial hesitation because they expected an ambush, when in reality the opposition just collapsed.

It's only one data point.  A possible aberration.  However this is the kind of thing you start seeing when an army collapses.  The attackers begin outrunning their supply lines.  Ukraine pulled out their crack units and sent them to the Kursk region.  A lot of them are dead.  Ukraine is in trouble.

Turkish sources, citing intelligence and government officials, report that Ukrainian forces are planning a missile strike deep into Russian territory using JASSM missiles. This attack is reportedly being timed to coincide with Russian President Vladimir Putin's birthday on October 7.

US to deliver JASSM (cutting edge) stealth cruise missiles to Ukraine which Ukraine will use to terror bomb Russian cities.  This will be the US directly giving Ukraine the armament, GPS, targeting, and likely set up to hit deep inside of Russia.  We only have a few of these, so it makes zero Strategic sense.

Escalation continues.  Also JSSAM's are nuclear capable.

Kursk is basically done except the bleeding out of the remaining forces of Team Unicorn.

Interesting turn at the Pokrosvk Front.  Freedom Force got the logistics hub under artillery and drone fire, and has halted more or less.  Pokrovsk is now in the headlines in the MSM, however Freedom Force has turned south.  Heavy fighting is now on the southern front between Pokrovsk and Ugledar.

This fits with Russia's past objectives of taking out logistics centers, roads, and rail and also hitting the Ukraine Army.  I think we might see Pokrovsk revert back to the typical slow Russian slog, whereby they sit back and use glide bombs, artillery and missiles, while occasionally sending in a Donbas militia platoon to keep the Ukrainians pinned in place.

There's also some movement SE of Siversk, but nothing major yet.  Just a pick up.
