When I saw the embedded arrowhead I thought of Otzi as well.  The presence of women and children makes it interesting. One doesn't usually see them in a war/raiding context. Makes me wonder if they weren't a migrating group. Large and well armed perhaps they were attacked while crossing that narrow ford. That would be the time to take them, very much like Wallace at Stirling Bridge, when they were half way across. The fact of many unburied bodies says they were outsiders. Locals would retrieve their dead.
