Faith.  You have to believe in God and that your final place is heaven.

Hope.  Have hope because God is Merciful and Loving.

Charity.  Grow a love for God, so that more and more you want to be with Him.  So that on your death bed you will have a desire for the thick veil to be lifted so that you may directly view the Beatific Vision.  Charity is the most important of all for a good death.
