Around the time this album came out it was all we listened to at work(pandora station thought). You ever listen to Twin Shadow?

LouisIX

Yeah, I listened to some Twin Shadow a few years back. I liked 'Slow'.

Does anyone remember?

Oh yes I remember this song.  We heard it on MTV and got a cassette of theirs.  Hubby bought a 'walkman' that had the capability to have 2 sets of headphones.  We would ride the train into San Diego from Imperial Beach listening to this song and then put in 'Simply Red' or the 'B52's'.  The Scorpions and Cindy Lauper were always good for a walk. The best ones though, had to be these;

Most of them just hurt your ears.  This was when Hip Hop started becoming popular as well.  I was so glad when hair bands started up.  Had you ever heard any of these?  Most of them are terrible but once in a while a good one would come along.

Hit play, close eyes, listen, pray for the conversion of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, open eyes.

Hit play, close eyes, listen, think of Our Lord singing this to you from the Tabernacle.

Julie Fowlis (typically sings in Gaelic) and Bruce Molsky (Appalachian fiddler from N'yawk) cover this classic love song from the Civil War era in an arrangement I prefer over all others. Only one who does it near as well as this is Tim O'Brien, but he's still 2nd.
