Wow. That's a lotta ink. I actually like these. Wouldn't get one, but they're the nicest tattoos I've ever seen!

Yep these ones stood out to me when i saw them, which is why i posted them itt. there's a Serbo/Croatian (Catholic) tradition of getting small crosses tattooed on the hands, especially the women, which i've always thought was really cool especially given the hostilities towards Catholics in some of those reigons.

There you have it.  The chair is empty.  Nothing more to be said.

I love that Blessed Mother tat.  Some people are so talented.  If there were someone who could do portrait that well around here, I'd certainly get one.  Haven't found anyone that good yet.  Saw an angel tat on a guy at the swimming pool that was incredible.  Asked him where he got it and he said it was just a friend of his.  It took 15 hours.  I can't imagine sitting that long.

They are. My longest session ever was about 8 hours, if I recall correctly. It was fairly rough going by the end.

I thought this was great use of perspective.

(https://www.suscipedomine.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fs-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com%2F736x%2F18%2Fe8%2Fce%2F18e8cee7657089da990ca8902bdf6a4e.jpg&hash=6fe1022f7ab1605f47ba0f1dd598019c7176ebb4)

Probably not best use of $ though.

I have sleeves, and some others, but have not gotten a tattoo since February 2006 and do not plan on any others unless I get a coverup for some of my more... stupid decisions.

I got on well with a Mormon chap at work who was heavily tattooed (he even ended up in a book) and he told me he had a tattoo of his wife on his chest, with an angel sheltering her in his wings, to symbolise the eternal covenant Mormon couples have.

"We'll be together eternally when I get my own planet after death".

"Err, ok then...so you must really love her?"

"I can't stand her. We're divorced".

I'm holding out for either the moon or the rover they left on the moon.

No, not mine lol. The design was originally by a guy who calls himself Meerkatsu; he does all kinds of Jiu Jitsu graphics and designs that end up on rashguards and things like that. Somebody got this tattooed, Meerkatsu featured it on his Facebook and my coach sent me the picture as he thought I'd like it, which I do.

Cool detail; the position Our Blessed Lord is attacking ole scratch from is known as the "crucifix" position, which kind of adds some meaning and context to the whole piece imho.

i have considered trying to contact Meerkatsu and get him to design a St Michael tat for me but I have a classical art piece of St Michael that i really like so will probably go with that.

I have none, but I've often thought of having a small Eastern Crucifix tattooed on my sternum. Would make it hard to deny I'm a Christian if, God forbid, I'm ever tempted.

I don't care for the tat of Our Lady in this picture so much, but the one of Our Lord is outstanding.

I love this picture of Our Lord.  It makes a beautiful tattoo.

I have a child who I threaten to tattoo with a brown scapular because the kid can't keep it on!
The St Benedict medal would be a great tattoo too, can it get the blessing like the medal?

It's highly doubtful.

no, mine had to be blessed as an image. it's still efficacious though, but it's pretty much just like how a painting of the medal couldn't be blessed as a medal cos its not a medal.
