Trump Strikes at Military-Industrial Complex

QuoteMark Thomas Esper is an American politician and businessman who served as the 27th United States secretary of defense from July 2019 to November 2020. He was a defense contractor lobbyist before joining the Donald Trump administration.

Looks as if Trump is wasting no time with only a few months to go before he leaves office. First axing Esper; now getting out of Syria.

QuoteWith Esper out the door, Trump's newly in office acting Secretary of Defense is already making waves given who he's just brought on board.

The new acting Pentagon chief, Christopher Miller, has just brought on as his senior adviser Ret. Army Col. Douglas Macgregor. Crucially Macgregor is on record as wanting American troops out of Syria immediately (gasp, the horror!), and further wants a rapid draw down in Afghanistan as well as in places like the Korean Peninsula.

"President Trump's newly installed acting Pentagon chief is bringing on a senior adviser in a sign the administration wants to accelerate the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the Middle East before the end of his presidency in January, three people familiar with the move told Axios," Jonathan Swan writes.

It appears Trump has finally and much belatedly put someone at the helm whose own views reflect those of the 2016 Trump campaign trail. He had been the first Republican nominee in history to lambast Bush's Iraq War as a huge "disaster" while running on a 'bring the troops home' non-interventionist message.

Of course critics then and now have mischaracterized the president as "isolationist" - which has long become a negative slur in establishment foreign policy circles.

Currently it's believed there's anywhere from 800 to possibly up to 2,000 US personnel in northeast Syria, where according to past Trump statements they are there to "secure the oil" and ensure the permanent defeat of ISIS. Increasingly they've been bumping up against both Russian and Syrian Army patrols in a mission that doesn't seem to have a defined end goal or exit strategy.

Macgregor has also said the U.S. needs to pull its troops out of Syria immediately and that America had no national interest there. https://t.co/grODh5w3aN
— Jonathan Swan (@jonathanvswan) November 11, 2020
Here's how Axios presented the supposedly "worrisome" and "divisive" views of Macgregor:

In a 2019 interview with Fox's Tucker Carlson, Macgregor said he would advise the president to get out of Afghanistan "as soon as possible," including removing the U.S. embassy from Kabul, and that talking to the Taliban was unnecessary.
•Macgregor also said the U.S. needs to pull its troops out of Syria immediately and America had no national interest there.
•He said, "We need to listen very carefully to the Iranians ... find out what their interests are and look for areas where we can cooperate" and that the U.S. needs to "turn the operational control of the [Korean] Peninsula militarily over to President Moon and the Koreans."

Already Biden's transition team is strongly signaling it would reverse course on some Trump draw downs, most notably the reduction of about 12,000 US soldiers from Germany.

Meanwhile The Intercept published a story on Wednesday citing an unnamed administration official who said the latest Pentagon shake-up was preparation for significant troop draw downs across various hotspots.

Personnel changes at the Pentagon, an official told The Intercept, would help clear the way for a more loyal apparatus to carry out Trump's goals. https://t.co/wNbRPI04Bn
— The Intercept (@theintercept) November 12, 2020
"The president is taking back control of DoD. It's a rebirth of foreign policy. This is Trump foreign policy," the official said.

Lee Fang at The Intercept underscored that "The personnel changes, the official claimed, would help clear the way for a more loyal Pentagon apparatus to carry out Trump's goals, including the last-minute withdrawal of troops from foreign conflicts.
"

Breaking the Democrat's/Globalist's toys before he leaves. Brilliant!

When Biden and his idiot staff start fighting wars and the body bags start rolling in, Trump will have the moral high ground and can criticize Biden to the high heaven. This will play extremely well in the Mid West where many troops come from. Check mate Biden!

Hopefully many more changes coming.

Good news indeed.  If decades, or even centuries, came sometimes happen in weeks, maybe he can get a lot done in 12.

That would be welcomed and applauded.
I am going to hold a pistol to the head of the modern man. But I shall not use it to kill him, only to bring him to life.

Why did it take him close to four years? Why did Trump appoint Esper, a MIC man, in the first place?  Also, it's a coward move for Trump to do it on his way out as if it's a tantrum.

If attending Mass, the ordinary form as celebrated everyday around the world be sinful, then the Church no longer exists. Period.
Rather, if the NOM were the lex credendi of the Church, then the Church would no longer exist. However, the true mass and the true sacraments still exist and will hold the candle of faith until Our Lord steps in to restore His Bride to her glory.
We could compare ourselves to the Catholics in England at the time of the Reformation. Was it sinful for them to attend Cranmer's service?
We have to remind ourselves that all the machinery of the "Church" continued in place. They had priests, bishops, churches, cathedrals. But all of them were using the new "Book of Common Prayer" instead of the Catholic Mass. Ordinary lay people could see with their own eyes an enormous entity that called itself the "Church," but did the true Church still exist in that situation? Meanwhile, in small hiding places in certain homes were a handful of true priests offering the true Mass at the risk of imprisonment, torture and death.

My read:
Trump thinks he's going to win.  Therefore fire all Deep State underlings while the media attention is on the election.  He did similar moves during the impeachment.  DOD was critical to avoid military involvement against him.  It also might be a power play against Israel to get the jew media to back off.  Already stories are leaking that the new crew will pull us out of Syria.  Also now Israel must come to him and beg him not to pull out of Syria.  Remember Trumps a negotiator, so he is giving himself the whip hand vis-a-vis Israel.  Note a few days ago Netanyahu announced he didn't care who the President was, stabbing Trump in the back.  Now Netty is in a weak position.  I don't believe in coincidences.

I would not be surprised if he fires Wray and the rest of the bunch.  But since DOJ and FBI are involved in the election investigation, he might not be able to fire Wray right now.

Bezmenov model
Demoralization: Cultural Marxism / Frankfurt School.  Introduce moral relativism. Destroy the Church.  Capture the media.  "No difference between Dems and Repubs" "America sucks as much as the rest of the world".  "All religions are pretty much the same".  "All cultures are pretty much the same" "Men and women are the same"  "No right or wrong in the eyes of God, just cultural norms"

Destabilization: Resist / Never Trump / Russiagate / Impeachment / Wu Flu.  Population just wants peace. Country ungovernable.
Crisis: Election of Biden confirmed by crooked courts/legislatures/officials.  Population REALLY just wants peace.  Military refuses to back Trump.
Stabilization: Trump leaves.

Flip side:
Demoralization: Countered by Church.  "Church" is now an insignificant gay rights NGO thanks to Vat II and Bergoglio.
Destablization: Countered by DOJ / Police.  WAS infested with DeepState Soros stooges.  Some local DA's also are now Soros bought.
Crisis: Countered by military.  So either Trump has regained control of Fed law enforcement, or he'll have to use the military if Biden wins and he wants to fight.  This is why it is critical that he controls the military.  Probably a "Plan B" option.
Stabilization: There is no counter.  If you don't stop Crisis, you're dead (or rotting in prison).

What is the point of doing this in the last few months of a four-year Presidency? It would have been easier to have not hired Deep Staters in the first place. Anyone who has managed employees will say that an ounce of prevention (not hiring bad employees) is worth a pound of cure (firing).

Trump was a NY real estate investor and media dude that didn't know DC. He got stabbed in the back by Republlicucks. Wray is a good case. His buddy Chris Christie got Trump to hire him. Once you hire someone in DC it is a pain to fire them. Which is why Trump fires them when the Press is obsessed about something else. What's the point of him firing Esper now?  It means Trump thinks or knows he will win.

No, Trump knew he was entering a den of vipers. Funny how his supporters in 2015 and 2016 said "Trump will drain the swamp! He knows how to deal with people." Turns out he didn't. Yes, it's obviously a pain to fire someone, which is why he should have been more selective in hiring. But there is no law or regulation stopping Trump from hiring his appointees; none. By the way, I know very intelligent, experienced, and loyal people who tried to get a job in the Trump administration but they couldn't get a call back. Yet Trump hires all sorts of incompentent and inexperienced people who stab him in the back. I'm starting to think that this "You're Fired!" bit is a creation of NBC. I read that the Apprentice was filmed so that Trump didn't fire people face-to-face because he was uncomfortable. Forget the Q-tard schizo fanfiction; Trump was a failure. He was our last hope but still a failure.

Besides The Great Stab in the Back, Trump's weakness is Ivanka. Cerno documented the early failure of Trump's admin.
But getting back to Esper:

Define success. The US WILL default and due to demographics will likely be a third world socialist country in my lifetime. That can't be stopped, except by Civil War, which won't be fun.
But objectively Trump was the most successful President since Harding or Coolidge. Can he drain the swamp?  Since Russiagate is behind him he'll definitely put a dent in it. Depends on Barr and Durham. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried by their lack of action, but the jury is still out.
